The Remarkable Merrill House

The Merrill House, built in 1886 by Jacksonville Shipbuilder James Merrill, was happy to have its walls warmed up by the enthusiastic members of the Jean Ribault Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently. Docents, Nancy Gandy and Holly Hamrick, shared the turn of the century lifestyle with the group. Weekday tours of the Merrill House can be arranged by appointment at the JHS Office – 904-665-0064.
