This year we celebrated the 20th Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza at Old St. Andrew’s Church and offered tours of the Merrill House Museum, decorated for the holidays. If you missed the event and would like to tour the museum house, call the Jacksonville Historical Society office at 904.665.0064 to schedule a tour during the year. Thank you to all the guests who visited the Merrill House this December. We had young, old, locals, and many out-of-town guests. It is such a pleasure to welcome you and take you on the journey through this house built in 1879 by James E. Merrill. His contribution to the country and to the city was tremendous with his Merrill-Stevens Ship Building Company. As we move into 2023, I look forward to welcoming you at the front door. Happy New Year to all and please enjoy the pictures of Christmas in this beautiful Victorian home.
